A2 media studies

 

I have picked music promotion package in which our task is to film a music video, I was allowed to chose any song and our main goal is to present the song in the best possible way using the right angles, lighting, location and mise en scene in accordance to the song that we pick. I have to make sure the lip syncing is done right and it matches the audio perfectly.  I will be producing and directing the music video on with my own using the equipment my little favor from friends and our skills. This project is going to allow me to learn new things like taking different shots from the right angles, how lighting is a very important aspect and can change everything and editing that mainly teaches us to be patient. The details of the equipment i  will be discussed in upcoming posts. For now, summing everything up, we are going to shoot a music video.

 Decoding and semiotics Today our teacher, Sir Nadeem acquainted us with the hypothesis of codes , which we could integrate into our music promotion package  In a post modernism world , we convey message through signs , we decode these signs by concentrating on them , hence the investigation of signs is called semiotics . As indicated by the hypothesis of Ronal Barthes who guarantees "A picture is signified .it have connotations , these may fluctuate as per societies " . Like wearing dark tones to a western wedding probably won't be valued.
